Ali Sampreety is working as a Communication Officer at Awaj Foundation since 2021.
She is working with communications team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns She actively maintains the social medias of the Awaj Foundation such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. On top of that, she develops, writes and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content as per organization’s need.
Her responsibility also includes: promoting communications and marketing materials through appropriate social channels, track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns, ensuring all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards, maintaining digital media archives including photos and videos. She responds to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications. With the team, she is involved to develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise.
Her competency level increased in conducting training as she received various ToT (Training of Trainers) programmes ITCILO, Solidarity Centre, Laudes Foundation, digital security training from APWLD and many more organizations. She also Received a 5-day training on “Employment Injury Insurance” certified by ITC ILO supported by GIZ and Action Aid. From the training of Tchibo WE Program workshop on gender and gender equality at workplace, increased her capacity to conduct training on Gender related issue inside and outside of the factory. As part of her work at Awaj, she also works as a trainer on gender-based violence, social protection (Under the project named ‘Shurokkha’)
She has the skills to update a website, write impactful posts for social networks, do video editing (changing colours, subtitles) write newsletters and reports of different projects. On top of that, she is also a photographer, who has received several awards: she never fails to capture the most beautiful moments of the demonstrations or events in which Awaj Foundation participates.
In terms of academic background, Sampreety graduated in 2017 with a B.A. Honors, in English Language and Literature from Rajshahi University. From her university days, she has been involved with various.
Sampreety likes working at Awaj Foundation so much because it allows her to be of service to the people and to support workers fighting for their rights. She also finds it a challenging work environment, which pushes her to push her limits and give her best. She believes deeply in the power of teamwork.
