We are happy to announce that Hoplun Apparels Ltd. Sommilito Sramik Union (HLALSSU) has signed a 12-point Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for second time with the management of Hoplun Apparels Ltd, under the leadership of Union leader Urmi Akter and Halima Begum on 1st March, 2022.
After the first successful CBA, now to strengthen the power of united workforce, to nurture the wellbeing of workers mostly women workers and to continue the harmonious relationship between workers and managements the 2nd CBA is signed.
In this CBA ground breaking deals have been signed paving the way of worker’s better future such as 10% increment on the wage, 17th week maternity leave, 2400 calories of food provided every day for pregnant women workers, 2,50000-taka welfare money in case of worker’s death outside the Workers Welfare Foundation, Fair shop for workers.
This CBA is the 14th CBA which is the result of Awaj’s tremendous labor and SGSF’s joint effort in the journey of achieving workers rights, freedom of association, rights to organize and right to bargain.
